There’s a lot of collecting to do in Sonic Frontiers, so get ready to stock up on excessive amounts of rings and other required items. Of those items found on Kronos Island, you might pick up these pink hearts scattered all around. What are they? What are these hearts used for in Sonic Frontiers? We can answer that for you.
What Are Hearts in Sonic Frontiers?
The hearts you see are actually called Memory Tokens. In the story of Frontiers, your friends, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles, were all zapped out of reality and are stuck between a cybernetic dimension and the tangible real world.
As you start your adventure in Kronos Island, you’re going to have to pick up several of these Memory Tokens. They appear as pink hearts because they are themed around Amy Rose. Hearts and cutesy items are her things, so it’s easy to indicate it’s her.
To not spoil what lies ahead, the Memory Tokens will take on a different look depending on who you’re trying to save next.
How to Get Memory Tokens in Sonic Frontiers
These items are found by completing all sorts of activities in the game. Here are some methods for doing so.
- Defeat enemies and Guardians.
- Find Memory Token locations on the map.
- Uncover hidden objects with the Cyloop ability.
- Buy them from Big via the Fishing portal.
To advance the story, you’ll have to obtain higher thresholds of these heavily sought Tokens. Luckily, the open world and the many activities you can partake in will give you more than enough.
With each new interaction you unlock, you’re that much further to progressing with the current island you’re on to go onto the next. The cycle will basically continue like this moving forward with the game. Save your friend by finding these tokens, rinse, and repeat.
Sonic Frontiers is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
