Each month as part of your subscription to PlayStation Plus, Sony gives away a number of free games across PlayStation devices. Sony’s PlayStation Plus Free Games List covers the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4 each month has new free games to download and play.
The only catch to cashing in on these free games is that you download them or “claim” them before the month ends. This can be done by either going into the PlayStation Store via your console or handheld device, or by accessing the PlayStation Store via a web browser. Unfortunately, if you fail to snag one of the games during its free period in PlayStation Plus, you can’t retroactively go back and get it for free, you’ll have to pay the market price for it.
PlayStation Plus Free Games are an added bonus this generation. Most online titles require a PlayStation Plus subscription to access things like multiplayer functionality. Is PlayStation Plus worth it? A year’s worth of games on the service costs significantly more than $59.99 if you bought them individually.
