Wolfenstein: Youngblood arms players with plenty of ways to inflict pain on enemies, many of them being very loud and lead to the attraction of enemies. Sometimes the best approach though is to be stealthy, with the cloaking technique being the best way to go about this in the game. This guide will explain how you can gain access to cloaking and also how to activate it.

How To Cloak In Wolfenstein: Youngblood

When you first start Wolfenstein: Youngblood, you will have some choices to make that include picking between Jess or Soph, as well as starting weapons and even a technique. One of these includes picking between either Cloak or Crush techniques, with you having immediate access to that ability from the start.

If you pick Cloak initially, you can start using it as soon as you like by pressing down on the D-Pad. You will instantly crouch, switch to your melee weapon, and go invisible. The first two steps are requirements for using cloaking, so be warned you cannot use your guns when cloaked.

You cannot use Cloak forever though, as there is a meter on the right side of the screen that you need to keep up with. When the circular meter is gone, you will lose your cloaking right away. This means any enemies right by you will instantly see you and start firing, so be smart about your meter use.

If you only need to sneak by a small area and want to conserve your Cloak, you can deactivate it as soon as you don’t need it by pressing down on the D-Pad once again. The meter will start to refill from that point, so this is a very smart idea to use when sneaking around and moving between obstacles.

If by chance you did not select Cloak in the initial character selection at the beginning of the game, you can get this technique through character upgrades. Just make sure to save up five skill points and purchase it within the character menu under Power.
