Taking down enemies quietly is definitely a smart tactic to have in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, with there being a few different ways to go about it. We’ve already told you how to Cloak and how to get stealth kills in other guides, but now we have yet another method you can use. This guide will explain how you can use your melee weapon as a projectile to take down enemies.

How To Throw Projectile Weapons in Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Projectile weapons can be a very useful tool when there are multiple enemies ahead and there is no real way to take them down up close and personal. To do this, you will first of all need to actually pick up these throwing weapons, as we can’t just go and throw our only melee weapon away.

Depending on which melee weapon you chose at the start, you will have either throwing hatchets or throwing knifes to collect in the game that you can throw. These are signified by an icon on the bottom right of the screen.

To throw these projectile weapons, you simply need to press down on the right analog stick. This is the exact same button press that you need to do for a stealth kill, but these are just done from a distance. Just make sure you aim before throwing the weapon however, as that does matter quite a bit here.

It doesn’t matter what type of weapon you have out at the time either. You can do this while having one of your guns out or even the melee weapon itself, making this all the easier to execute.

As said above, you only have certain numbers of these projectiles that you can throw at a time. However, you can sometimes pick these back up after throwing, so make to be cognizant of this and pick them back up when you can.
