How Does Wordle Work?

Wordle is a daily word-guessing game where you have only six tries to guess the word given each day. Every word that is used in the game is five letters long and only exist in the English language. With each word put into the game, Wordle will give you back clues based on which letters you’ve chosen correctly.

To make the game easier on you, start with words that have lots of vowels in them. A lot of five-letter words in English only have one vowel in them, so you will have lots of room to work in if you use five-letter words like “AUDIO” to start out with.

When trying to figure out the word of the day, Wordle will give you a green box around your letter to tell you that you have the correct letter in the right spot. If you get a yellow box around your letter, it means that you have the correct letter, just not in the right place. And if you get a grey box around your letter, it means that the letter is not in the word you are guessing for.
