WWE 2K17 Guide: How To Cut A Good Promo (For Extra VC)

One of the new things added to WWE 2K17 is the ability to cut your own promo. Here are some tips to do a great promo so you can earn extra VC (virtual currency).

The main thing you need to know about cutting promos in WWE 2K17 is being consistent with what you are saying. In MyCareer, you want to know what type of Superstar you want to be. Do you want to be a Babyface (Good Guy) or do you want to be a Heel (Bad Guy)?

I chose to be a Heel so I would always choose options that would either make me sound cocky or tease the crowd. You want to choose lines that make people angry.

Not only do you have to do that, but you also have to stay on the same topic. If you are being cocky, choose lines that say that you are perfect and everyone else is garbage or something like that.

You will miss out on good points if you go off topic. For example if you talk crap about the crowd, keep teasing them. Don’t choose an option that talks about The Authority or anything like that. Keep talking about a similar theme.

Another thing you want to be aware of is don’t say anything outside of your character. If you are a Heel, don’t say something a Babyface would normally say. The key word is try to be consistent with what you are saying. You don’t want to say the crowd is great after you just bagged on them in the same promo.

Sometimes you will also go into a Promo Battles with another WWE Superstar. The same rules do apply here. Just make sure to insult your opponent as much as possible.

If you are a Heel, you can choose to be cowardly and not want to fight. If you are a Babyface, try to be heroic and call out the opponent for being a coward or something along those lines.

The last piece of advice I can give you about WWE 2K17 promos is to choose a line before time runs out. The crowd will hate you if you don’t choose something to say on time.
