According to a report from French website JeuxVideo, two next-gen Xbox consoles will be announced at E3 2019. Both consoles have the code name — “Lockhart” and “Anaconda” are said to have distinguishing features.
Apparently, Lockhart will be an entry device without any disc/blu ray drive with an emphasis on digital purchases. Anaconda will be a higher end system similar to the Xbox One X that launched in 2017. As for the specifications, both systems will utilize Solid State Drives, and both will have the capacity of 1 TB.
In addition, the website states that the release dates are scheduled for the end of 2020, and that Halo Infinite will be a launch title. The upcoming entry in the series is also planned for a release on the Xbox One, but ever since it was announced at last years E3, we’ve had little to no information about the game.
The code names Lockhart and Anaconda have been known for a while, but this is the first time we have seen anyone come out with potential information on either system. As of this writing, Microsoft has not made any comment to the rumor, and they most likely won’t have anything to say for the time being. We’ll be monitoring this story as more information may come out, so stay tuned for more details.
