After so many misfires using the Alien and Aliens license, Sony is trying a new tactic with the upcoming survival horror title Alien: Isolation. Creative Asssembly’s new approach is looking to make the Alien scary again, and will do so by making the creatures hunt down players in Alien: Isolation.

“We wanted to make a game that recaptures that original experience. We wanted to make the Alien scary again,” says Al Hope of Creative Assembly.

“The Alien really is hunting you. It is using active senses and moment to moment decision making to hunt you down and kill you,” says Clive Lindop in the developer diary below.

Alien Isolation is due out later this year for Xbox One, Xbox 360,PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
