The launch of the next installment in the DOOM series is happening later this week, and now Amazon has revealed that they will be doing something special for those who want to play it right at launch. They have revealed that Prime members will be getting the game delivered to them as soon as the game launches at Midnight on Thursday.
Those in the UK who wish to take part in this will need to download the Prime Now app and order the game starting at 10 PM BST. The director of the Prime Now app, Jason Weston, said the following:
“We’ll be taking orders for DOOM as soon as it appears in our app, from around 22:00 on Thursday, 12 May 2016 and will continue to take orders while stocks last. Customers who place orders by 23:45 on the night can get their deliveries within the 00:00-02:00 delivery window, while delivery windows remain available. If you prefer, you can place your order to get the game first thing Friday morning, with delivery windows available from 08:00 onwards throughout release day. As well as special editions of the game, controllers and consoles, customers can get drinks, food and more in their Prime Now order, all without leaving the comfort of your own home.”
Unfortunately, there are no such plans for a similar launch release method in the US. DOOM is set to launch on May 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
