EA has high hopes for Battlefield 4 on next-gen consoles. So when the company presented at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, they were asked why the franchise was absent from the PlayStation 4 reveal event last week.
Blake Jorgensen, the chief financial officer for EA has confirmed that his company is committed to Sony’s new platform, and despite the company’s being a no-show at the event, Battlefield 4 “is stunning” on the PS4. “I’ve seen the new Battlefield and it is stunning,” said Jorgensen. “It is amazing what the imagination of the game developers are allowed to do with that much power.”
Only a select few people have been allowed to see Battlefield 4 at this point. EA recently showed the game to a select group of GameStop employees, who echoed similar sentiment about how the game is coming a long.
Last week, EA’s Frank Gibeau confirmed that Battlefield 4 is due to arrive on next-gen platforms, but a release date for the next Battlefield has not been confirmed as of yet.
