BioWare has hinted that the Mass Effect trilogy might be heading the PS4 and Xbox One consoles after all.
Aaryn Flynn who serves as the GM for BioWare’s Edmonton & Montreal studio tweeted an interesting message the other day. It’s a huge clue that the studio plans to release the Mass Effect trilogy to the PS4 and Xbox One.
He said: “Looking forward to #N7Day14! Unfortunately we have no news about the Mass Effect Trilogy coming to new consoles. When we do we’ll share ASAP”
This is somewhat of a confirmation that the Mass Effect trilogy will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles somewhere down the line. BioWare has not made an official announcement on it, but news will eventually be shared from the sounds of things.
A Mass Effect trilogy collection was already released for previous consoles, but not for the PS4 and Xbox One. Remakes/re-releases are the “in-thing” right now so there is a demand for them at the moment.
The Mass Effect games are very popular so porting them to the PS4 and Xbox One makes sense. BioWare could release the Mass Effect trilogy to lessen the wait until Mass Effect 4 eventually comes out. Microsoft did this with the Halo collection coming out this year until Halo 5 releases in 2015.
