One of the biggest surprises at E3 2019 was that of Blair Witch from Bloober Team and Lionsgate Games during the Xbox press conference. Rather than drip feeding information over a year or more, Blair Witch is already set to release at the end of this month. Gamescom is the perfect spot to release new information about the game and this included a brand new story trailer that will question your sanity.
This new story trailer for Blair Witch focuses on the protagonist Ellis, more specifically flashbacks involving the character and how he has gotten to this point. The character definitely has had some supposed mental issues in the past based on this trailer, though he denies these claims and and says there is nothing wrong with him.
These flashbacks and visions are spliced in with the present, which will play a major role in the game itself. Discovering the past of Ellis will affect the present as well, with him having to fight losing his sanity in the process. Not only does this trailer focus on the story elements, but you also get to see some of the different environments in the game as he explores the Black Hills Forest and heads toward the witch house.
The trailer also reminds us about the pre-order bonus for Blair Witch on Steam, where you will get digital rewards in the form of the soundtrack and The Art of Blair Witch. Blair Witch is set to release for Xbox One and PC on August 30.
