Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Receives New Gameplay Footage

Recommended Videos

It’s been several months since we’ve seen any new gameplay footage for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, with the updates generally featuring Q&As, interviews, voice acting and new characters. Fortunately, those who have been waiting for new gameplay will have to wait no longer as Koji Igarashi has released new gameplay footage of the highly-anticipated Castlevania spiritual succesor.

The trailer has a lot going on despite only being 90 seconds in length. We get to see the Courtyard stage (along with some combat), music by Noisycroak and Zangetsu in action.

Check out Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night‘s new trailer below:

IGA also had a few comments about what was included in the new trailer:

“Courtyards are just as important to an IGAvania as castles, right? Maybe not? Well, this time the courtyard is a very important part of the game, and that’s why we’re sharing a look at this area.”

“Zangetsu is a samurai character we’ve previously announced. He resents anyone and anything tainted by demonic power. As a result, he’s hostile toward Miriam, whose existence is directly connected to the demon ritual. This is also a new stage we’re introducing for the first time.”

Lastly, the update revealed that the development team is aware that fans have been desperately awaiting the release of a new demo (the first one was based off the E3 build). For the time being, however, they have nothing anything to share on that front. That said, they did promise “lots of big surprises,” so stay tuned.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set to release sometime in 2018.
