Boxes In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Are Upgraded To Be Stronger

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will include far more durable boxes for Big Boss to use.

In the previous Metal Gear Solid games, the cardboard box was the only thing available. It was susceptible to gunfire, and became unusable if it got exposed to rain. It appears you can have access to different types of boxes in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Hideo Kojima tweeted out the other day a new photo that shows Big Boss with a “carbon box” instead of the one made with cardboard. The box’s material has been strengthened because it is more durable. As aforementioned, cardboard is thin and pretty weak when used outside.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will have a weather system, as well as a day and night cycle. Depending on the weather, you will need a box that can handle all of the different conditions. This new carbon box should be able to be more durable than the old-school cardboard ones.

It’ll be cool to experiment with boxes in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Some soldiers ignored you while hiding inside of a box, but others can get too close and too curious. It will be interesting to see how smart the AI soldiers are in the new game.
