Activision and Treyarch have revealed the official release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s first DLC expansion pack called Awakening. The DLC will be available to download on February 2, 2016 for PlayStation 4 first before it comes to other platforms later with no release date yet given.
The Awakening DLC gives fans the first of a pack of four new maps, with the maps themselves being Gauntlet, Rise, Splash and Skyjacked. There’s even a new Zombies level called Der Eisendrache, which is set in a medieval castle during a terrible snowstorm. As an added bonus to everything above, Awakening also includes four new Gobble Gumballs to be used within the Zombies mode.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has become one of the best-selling games of 2015, beating out games like Fallout 4 to become the best-selling game of last month. While Sony’s exclusive DLC partnership with Activision certainly threw a wrench into the lives of many hardcore Call of Duty players, it certainly hasn’t slowed down the series’ monstrous selling pace.
