Despite Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens being out this month, Star Wars Battlefront was still unable to dethrone Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 from staying on top of the UK video game charts.
As reported by GFK Chart Track, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 held the top spot yet again. Sales actually increased by 33 percent compared to the week before. The game has been a top seller for several weeks now beating out all newcomers.
Star Wars Battlefront sales jumped by 22 percent, but had to settle for second place. It managed to fend off FIFA 16 as the soccer/football title’s sales jumped by 24 percent. The release of The Force Awakens may have helped Battlefront fight off FIFA.
Fallout 4 sales increased by 44 percent, but this was only good enough for the fourth position. In fifth place was Minecraft: Story Mode while Assassin’s Creed Syndicate manages to sell well each week with the sixth position on the chart.
Just Cause 3, Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege hold the 7th, 8th and 9th positions respectively. The last spot in the chart belonged to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The PS4 exclusive re-enters the top 10 after dropping out in the prior week.
