Crash Bandicoot Cartoon Video Surfaces

A video for a short Crash Bandicoot cartoon has now been posted online.

The following video was found earlier this year by Crash Mania. The YouTube video was only posted earlier today.

The producer for the original Crash Bandicoot game, David Siller, allowed the user to upload the mini cartoon on YouTube. It looks like the footage was taken from a VHS video.

Anyway, the cartoon was not supposed to be for a cancelled TV show or anything like that. According to Siller, the mini cartoon was originally going to be part of the intro in the first Crash Bandicoot game.

Sony turned down the idea of adding this cartoon to the game as they wanted to market Crash Bandicoot as a 3D video game. Sadly, the cartoon was never used or even added to the final game.

As you can see from the video below, the cartoon is in two parts. The first part was supposed to be the intro, while the last one would have been added to the game’s ending.

The cartoon has a very ’90s feel to it and could have been a nice addition to the game. In my opinion, it would have been an entertaining cartoon TV series too.
