Customer spots something moving in her Wingstop fries and freaks out, then employees expose the truth

A customer in Houston recently caused a stir on social media after posting a video of a disturbing discovery in her Wingstop fry box. TikTok user Livi (@theonlyissalivi) shared a short clip showing a small, black, round object sitting among her fries. Her reaction in the video was intense and completely understandable.

“B— this is a—,” she said while filming the object. She then started screaming loudly because she thought the object moved. She added a text warning others about the specific location: 13643 State Hwy S, Arcola TX, United States.

If anyone pulled something like that out of their fries, screaming would be a natural reaction. However, what looked like a nightmare turned out to be just a weird kitchen mistake. According to Bro Bible,  the online discussion quickly provided a simple explanation for the mysterious item.

In the comments section of the follow-up TikTok video, several people claiming to be current and former Wingstop employees stepped in to clear things up. The black sphere was likely not a bug at all. One user claiming to work at the restaurant offered the answer. “I work at wingstop and i can assure you this is just burnt corn due to us having to use the same baskets for fries and corn,” they wrote.

That explanation makes sense. If you use the same fryers and baskets for different products, some cross-contamination is bound to happen. Another commenter had a similar experience and wrote, “Ok hear me out sista cause it do give roach but you sure it’s not the fried corn they be making? Cause I’ve had pieces like that that were corn but I thought it was a roach 😭😭 lmao.” 

Like other cases where customers noticed problems with their orders, documenting the issue helped resolve the situation. One viewer found humor in how Livi handled the situation, commenting, “I loved the part where you covered it with the caption😭.” However, not everyone was laughing about that particular location.

Other commenters shared their own bad experiences about that Arcola, Texas location. One person wrote, “Girl I literally got food poisoning from this last Saturday 😭that place is so dirty.” Similar to incidents where managers spotted issues with returned food, staff observations played a key role in understanding what happened.
