This fall when Assassin’s Creed: Revelations releases, Ubisoft has noted that they are tying up the loose ends for the stories of Altair and Ezio.  The game which has been revealed to take Ezio on a journey to discover his roots in the Order of Assassin’s, bringing him to locations of previous Assassin’s Creed games and tying up the first three games in a  neat little bow.  There are certainly plans for more Assassin’s Creed down the road according to Darby McDevitt, lead writer for the game who revealed that there will be plenty left unanswered when it comes to Desmond.

MdDevitt told CVG that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations “won’t answer everything because Desmond’s story continues.”  though “fans will definitely know most of the important details of Ezio and Altair’s lives, and how they fit into the grand scheme.”

The grand scheme that McDevitt alludes to will likely be where Assassin’s Creed 3 picks up, with Desmond front and center.  Desmond who is such an important character in the franchise has played such a small part in every game, will we finally get to see a modern day assassin do his thing in Assassin’s Creed 3?  Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations launches this fall for multiple platforms, with it’s spectacular multiplayer that should keep us occupied until we get to find out.
