Due to the release of Rise of Iron this week, the servers for Destiny cannot keep up with the increased demand. Servers are down according to Bungie.
The Bungie Help Twitter page announced: “We are actively investigating issues preventing players from connecting to Destiny on all platforms.”
This seems to be a worldwide problem as a lot of people on Twitter are reporting to have issues with the game right now. As of time of writing, the issues have been occurring for at least 30 minutes.
In the meantime, the Bungie Help Twitter page advised people to do this. “If you experience an issue during the launch of Destiny: Rise of Iron, please post a report in the #help forum“. You can visit and post on the forums by clicking here.
Rise of Iron is of course the latest DLC expansion to hit the game. We will let you know if things go back to normal. Hopefully once Bungie knows what the problem is, people can start playing the expansion.
Just be patient for the meantime since several players still own Destiny and a lot of people will be logging-in at the same time. You could play another game in order to pass the time.
Update: Bungie Help on Twitter said: Issues that were preventing players from signing into Destiny resulting in Tapir errors have been resolved on all platforms.
