DICE will be adding a new feature to Battlefield 4 called “Invisible Mode”, but it’s not what you think. With the integration of Battlelog into the Battlefield ecosystem, privacy concerns have become a top priority for the team at DICE. When prompted by fan questions on Twitter, the developer explained that this new invisible mode will be explained in the near future.
Invisible Mode is a top priority for Battlefield 4, says DICE
“It’s our goal to introduce some new privacy before BF4 release, but plans could change. Invisible mode is the top priority,” according to the Battlefield Twitter account.
So what’s this mean for Battlefield players? The new invisible mode wasn’t explained at all, but you could presume that this means players can hide their online status on the stat tracking network. As it stands, it’s easy to stalk players in Battlefield 3 using Battlelog. There have been some complaints about community members being harassed in this manner on Origin.
What other new features does DICE have planned for Battlefield 4 and the Battlelog? DICE says we’ll have to wait and see, but we could see some of these changes arrive prior to the launch of Battlefield 4.
