The Division Servers Are Down For Maintenance Right Now, 1.1 Update Patch Available For Download

The Division has been the subject of much discussion over the last month or so since it released, with players giving the servers a work out in that time. Luckily, outside of some launch woes that seem to plague most online games these days, everything has run rather smoothly. However, those who were looking to play right now will be out of luck as the servers are down for planned maintenance.

We already told you earlier that the much awaited The Division 1.1 update was coming on Tuesday, with it supposed to be taking place overnight. Right on schedule, that time is here as the servers are currently down for maintenance.

The good news is that as we hoped, you can go ahead and download the 1.1 patch while the servers are being worked on. This means that if your connection speed is fast enough to download the 4+ GB patch in that time, you can get started playing when the maintenance is over.

Ubisoft has said their goal was to have the servers only be down for three hours, but we do know how that can be with some downtimes running longer or shorter than expected.

The fact that everyone will be downloading the new update could put strain on the servers as well, so I would definitely be patient upon them first going back up this morning.
