This past weekend, there was an Open Beta for the upcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, lasting from January 14-15, or January 13-15 for those who already pre-ordered the game. It appears that this Open Beta didn’t go as smoothly as Bandai Namco had hoped, however, as the company addressed the Beta’s server issues on the 14th on Facebook. After receiving feedback and (hopefully) solving the issues that needed addressing, Bandai Namco decided to open up another Open Beta for the game.
According to the Bandai Namco US Twitter, the next Open Beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ will begin on January 17 at 9:00PM PST/January 18 at 12:00AM EST and end on January 18 at 9:00PM PST/January 19 at 12:00AM EST, giving players another 24 hours to try the game out. Like the previous Open Beta, this Open Beta will only be open to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, despite the fact that the full game will also be available on PC. Bandai Namco claims that this new Open Beta will come “with improvements to the experience,” implying that whatever issues the servers were having have been dealt with. The full version of Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC a week from Friday, on January 26.
