Dragon Ball Z games usually have a short development time since they come out annually. It seems more care has been taken with Dragon Ball Xenoverse as the game has been in development for over two years.

Treevax had a chance to interview some of the staff involved with the production of Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Bandai Namco’s Masayuki Hirano and Dimps’ Masahiro Kashino were displaying the game at the recent Japan Expo in France. Treevax was there to cover the action to ask them more about Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

First of all, Dragon Ball Xenoverse has been in development for over 2.5 years. They promise the game will be a lot different from the ill received Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. They have heard all of the criticism that game received and promised fans this game will be much better.

Moving on, Dragon Ball Xenoverse will also feature more than just one-on-one battles. They didn’t comment any further, but this could suggest we might see tag team action or even bigger fights like those seen in Battle of Z.

Lastly, they promised Dragon Ball Xenoverse will feature characters outside from the Dragon Ball Z universe. This could mean characters from the movies, Dragon Ball GT or even the original Dragonball series might be included.

Overall, it sounds like Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be a lot more fun than Battle of Z. The game will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. No release date has been announced as of yet.
