E3 will be trying something new this year, as the organizers have announced what they are calling E3 Live. This event takes place outside of the Los Angeles Convention Center where the main E3 event is held, and offers many of the perks that the regular E3 does like hands-on time with new games, live music and the chance to meet industry insiders.
The biggest perk is that the event is absolutely free, though you will need to register ahead of time through its website. You can do that right now by clicking right here. As for the event date and time, you can scroll down for the full details. It’s located at 800 W. Olympic Blvd. in downtown Los Angeles.
- Tuesday, June 14th – Gameplay starts at 5 PM PDT
- Wednesday, June 15th – 12 PM – 10 PM PDT
- Thursday, June 16th – Doors open at 12 PM PDT
As for the main E3 event, that kicks off on the same day on June 14th in the LA Convention Center. However, that is only open to those in the games industry and certain invitees. The games being showcased at E3 Live have not been confirmed as of this time, but games like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Battlefield 1, The Legend of Zelda and more will be featured at E3 2016.
