EA Sports UFC is being kind to owners of the game by giving them free content that includes more fighters.

Unlike with traditional DLC, this free content in EA Sports UFC comes as a patch. All you need to do is download the patch and your free content will automatically be installed into the game. Pretty cool since you don’t have to pay extra for it. It’s also coming from an EA game which may be surprising to some gamers. EA needs to regain trust from gamers and something like this is a good way to do that.

The three new fighters being offered are bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw, Takeya Mizugaki, and Tyron Woodley. Some other little additions have been made to the gameplay in EA Sports UFC too. There is a new “touch glove” animation at the start of each fight. This is what happens in real-life when fighters have respect for one another. Another new animation is that you can land some extra punches even after you have knocked you opponent out. Lastly, sprawls have been added when you are defending power takedowns.

EA Sports UFC is out now for PS4 and Xbox One. Let’s hope EA is kind enough to add even more free content in the future.
