EA Sports UFC ran a simulation predicting the results from the upcoming UFC 175 fight card.

UFC 175 is taking place this Saturday on July 5th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. EA Sports used EA Sports UFC to predict the main event matches. The two main events are Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida for the UFC Middleweight Title and Ronda Rousey vs. Alexis Davis for the Women’s Bantamweight Title.

For the Weidman vs. Machida bout, EA Sports UFC thinks Weidman will be defending his title. He takes a TKO victory at 1:59 of the second round. The simulation showed a very close contest between the two, but Weidman’s wrestling ability helped him secure the victory. He had more takedowns and was more aggressive.

For the Woman’s bout, Rousey wins decisively over Davis. She also wins in the second round, but makes Davis submit with her trademark armbar finisher. Much like Weidman, Rousey’s superior takedown ability helped her get the victory and retain her title.

UFC 175 is on live PPV this Saturday. EA Sports is sometimes accurate with similar simulations with its other sports games. This is the first simulation using EA Sports UFC. It will be interesting to see if the simulation is accurate.
