People Can Fly is looking to push the Gears of War franchise even further on the aging Xbox 360 with their inbound release of Gears of War: Judgment. Due out later this month, the prequel is looking to squeeze every last morsel of power out of the Xbox 360, and Epic Games confirms that they are continually finding new ways to do just that.

“When we first released Gears of War, people were like ‘woah, they’re pushing the Xbox to its limits’ – and every single time we’ve been able to step it up and find some corner of the 360 that no one was aware of and more areas for us to push.”

As for Gears of War: Judgment, you can expect the same sort of dedication to pushing the platform. People Can Fly told OXM that fans will notice a lot of these changes in the new game. “We’re pushing way more enemies, way more particles, the environments are a lot more dense than on previous games…it’s the most colorful Gears game ever.”

Gears of War: Judgment is due out exclusively on the Xbox 360 on March 19th.
