The hype for Final Fantasy 15 was massive as the game’s long-development cycle finally came to an end this year, with the game launching earlier this week. While we knew that the demand for the game would be high, Square Enix has now revealed just how high.
The company announced that the game was the fast-selling game in the entire series, with day-one shipments hitting the 5 million mark. While this means sold to retail and does not reflect actual consumer numbers, it’s safe to say that the consumer numbers will likely follow suit.
