The hugely successful iOS and Android free game, Flappy Bird has returned and this time it’s not a knock-off. From the original developer Dong Nguyen, Flappy Bird returns to home consoles in a way nobody expected. On the Amazon Fire TV.

Flappy Bird, as fans recall was taken off the market which led to a ton of knock-off products appearing on both the AppStore and the Android stores respectively. This was due to Dong Nguyen taking way more attention than he wanted. However, he went on to say that the title will eventually return. Now it has, however for the time being it is exclusive to the Amazon Fire TV microconsole Android based platform.

Flappy Birds Family is developed by Dong Nguyen under the DotGears (.Gears) studio label. It allows two player support via either the Fire TV Remote or the Fire TV Game Controller. Hopefully nobody will throw their controller/remote at the television.

Flappy Birds Family is available now on Amazon Appstore for Android for free. It will be interesting to see how long it takes the title to be brought over to the iOS and normal Android marketplaces and how long Amazon holds this exclusive on a very addicting game with a lot of fans.
