Naughty Dog have released a big update for The Last of Us today which brings the game up to version 1.03 and includes a new game mode named Interrogation.

Described as “a pretty complicated game mode,” Interrogation requires The Last of Us players to get special executions or shiv kills which trigger interrogations. Interrogating five enemies allows a team to access their enemies’ lock box which comprises the second stage of the new multiplayer mode. See the video below for more information straight from the canines’ mouths.

Some multiplayer fixes for this new update to The Last of Us include increasing the revive range and adjusted item box locations for balance. Various bugs have also been squashed and matchmaking has apparently been changed to make things more fair and stop players being lumped in with high-level gamers well above their skill range. Patch notes can be found on Naughty Dog’s site for more information.

Naughty Dog originally specified that they would release more details on The Last of Us’ upcoming DLC this month and with few days left in August, details about paid expansion content are expected to be announced at PAX Prime which begins on Friday, August 30. Naughty Dog have two panels scheduled for PAX Prime.

Are you still playing The Last of Us online? Are you tired of being stomped by teams of level 99 characters? Can you even sleep knowing that Naughty Dog are a few days away from releasing more info on DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
