Gearbox Software, the makers of the popular Borderlands series, has announced that they will be at PAX East and will host a panel which will include “never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises.” The developer will have their panel on the first day of the convention, March 28 and go from from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

While no other details were given with the announcement, it’s without a doubt that everyone is hoping for the official Borderlands 3 announcement, and it may very well happen at this panel. Back in 2015, the developer was recruiting for the next game in the series, and we haven’t heard anything since. Another possibility is that we will hear about the first Borderlands being remastered for the current-gen systems, which was recently rated for the Korean and Taiwanese market. If we’re lucky enough, both games will be announced, and making Gearbox the talk of the community once again.

The last time the developer was at PAX East they revealed Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition, a remaster of the PS3 and Xbox 360 title which was also ported to the PC and included the classic video game character Duke Nukem. Ever since Borderlands 2, fans have been waiting patiently for the next entry in the Borderlands franchise. Despite getting The Pre-Sequel a couple of years later, as well as Gearbox continuing to update both titles with Gold Keys each month, the fanbase is hungry for some newer content. Hopefully, Gearbox delivers on those reveals this March.
