While fans have been patiently waiting for news about The Last Guardian, it appears that it’s a very low priority for Sony at this point. In a recent issue of Famitsu, Fumito Ueda explains that the game is of little importance when compared to titles like Knack and The Puppeteer.

“It’s under earnest development,” said Ueda to Famistsu. “However, SCE Japan Studio, who’s working on The Last Guardian, also has titles like Puppeteer and Knack, and those are only the ones currently announced. Those are taking priority right now,” said the developer.

Ueda had nothing else to relay about the timing of The Last Guardian, and when we could expect any news about the game. With both Knack and the Puppeteer due out later this year, perhaps Sony Japan will go back to finish of The Last Guardian for a 2014 release?
