Injustice 2’s Latest Character Reveal Delayed Till Next Week

Following the announcement of Black Canary being added to Injustice 2 last week, it was quickly revealed that the next announcement would be coming soon, specifically February 7. However, while we were awaiting the latest unveiling Tuesday, it was announced that the next character reveal has been pushed back until next week.

Even though the official website for Injustice 2 had the next announcement coming on Tuesday, the official Injustice 2 Twitter tweeted the following disappointing information.

“Hello! The character reveal will happen next week on February 13. We apologize for any confusion this has caused!”

It did definitely seem like a quick turnaround between reveals, so it’s hard to be too upset over the lack of an announcement. Beyond the tweet, the official Injustice website also has been updated to display the new February 13 date. At this point, there is really no tease as to who it could be, but hopefully it is worth the wait after this delay.

To make up for this disappointment though, a lengthy video was released showing off Black Canary in battle that is much more than last week’s initial trailer.

As part of IGN’s First Look series, Injustice 2 is the game being featured all month. Their latest gameplay video shows off plenty more with Black Canary as she faces off against Superman, Batman, Deadshot, and Blue Beetle. In addition, they have also released a video with NetherRealm walking us through Black Canary’s gameplay.

From last week’s trailer and this new footage, Black Canary looks absolutely fantastic so far. There is no question that I will definitely be using her quite and bit and hope she is added to the ongoing closed beta for the game. Make sure to check out both videos below and stay tuned for when we get the new reveal on February 13 to find out who is the next fighter in Injustice 2.
