Pokemon Go closed beta sign-ups are now underway in Japan. This is your chance to be able to play the game before anyone else can.
The sign-ups for Pokemon Go were discovered by a user on NeoGAF. You can sign-up by clicking here, although there are barriers for those that live outside of Japan.
The entry requirements to be in the closed beta are: “If you’re in Japan, and for those who have an Android device or iOS device. Android is a version 4.3 or higher, iOS will target the iPhone 5 or later.
There is no guarantee that to successfully operate in all of the terminal. For technical reasons, we will be greatly limited the number of recruitment for the iOS version“.
If you try and sign up outside of Japan, you get this message: “This site is not available in your country. Please stay tuned for more information at Niantic Blog. Thank you for your interest in Pokémon GO.”
You may try some type of proxy in order to bypass this. In either case, this is the first time that people will be able to play Pokemon Go. They did not specify when the closed beta will be taking place, but it will happen later this year.
