Is Life of Black Tiger the Worst PS4 Trailer of All Time?

Randomly and without any fanfare, the official PlayStation YouTube channel uploaded a new trailer for a game called Life of Black Tiger. In the day since it has become their most disliked video, at least according to ratio of likes to dislikes. And this isn’t a situation like Call of Duty, where people are angry about some decision, instead the game genuinely looks terrible.

You can watch the trailer below, which features a large black cat running around horrible looking landscapes. The framerate looks awful, and the animation is stilted and unbelievably bad, appearing more like an early PS2 game than a PS4 title. Events in the trailer seem rather random, with one moment seeing a fish fly out of the water and fall right in front of the cat for seemingly no reason.

The music just adds to the weirdness, with a repetitive, droning tune. The weirdness doesn’t stop there though, the YouTube description reads “Life of Black Tiger is an interactive adventure story game is set in jungle, field, and forest surroundings. You can have a vivid and realistic experience through in various missions.” Yeah, typos like that definitely don’t help make the game look better.

It’s all so weird that this might be a sort of troll game, but you can actually find out for yourself right now. While Life of Black Tiger is coming to the PS4, it is already available on iPhone and Android. The reviews there actually aren’t too bad, though it is a free game with in-app purchases.

Despite all this, you really should watch this trailer, as it might be one of the PS4’s worst of all time. Still, the game could turn out well, so we’ll have to wait and see. Life of Black Tiger is not up yet on the PlayStation Store, and no release date was given. It will be interesting to see if it ever is released with how this trailer was received.
