Mad Max

The Mad Max brand is getting back in the public eye once again with a brand new movie set to debut in May known as Mad Max: Fury Road. There was also a video game based on the series that was announced awhile back, but with no information in so long, many feared it might be stuck in development hell or even worse cancelled. However, yesterday we not only got confirmation that the game was still coming, but we also got a set release date.

Along with being revealed as the cover of the April issue of Game Informer, the magazine will feature coverage all month, which started with news that it will be arriving on September 5 of this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You may remember that it was originally scheduled to come to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well, but Avalanche Studios decided to can those two versions completely to focus on bringing the best overall experience to the current-gen consoles.

Game Informer’s hands-on look at the current state of the game will provide tons of details over the next month, so we are bound to get plenty of reveals about the pretty mysterious game during the month of March.
