Major Nelson has responded to a video Microsoft made on Star Wars Battlefront recently. The video takes a little shot at Sony.

If you have not seen the video, it’s called “Major Nelson Strikes Back”. It’s a video advertising that Star Wars Battlefront will be available first on Xbox One via EA Access.

Anyway, the part of the video that stirred the pot among gamers was how it implied Sony as “the enemy”. Major Nelson says “join me and we can defeat our common enemy”. Xbox UK’s Benny replies with “Nintendo?”. Major Nelson replies that he loves Nintendo and he’s talking about the “other guys”.

Even though this video is supposed to be made of good humor, some gamers didn’t like the fact that Microsoft were implying that Sony were being labeled as the “Dark Side”.

Major Nelson responded to the criticism by saying on NeoGAF: “Glad a few of you enjoyed this little piece they asked me to shoot when I was in Germany last week. I know some of you will hate it (because you dislike me, Xbox, Microsoft or a combination of the three) but we were just having a bit of fun. I’ll take my light saber and show myself out.”
