Mass Effect 4 is currently being developed by Bioware. Well, maybe it’s not Mass Effect 4 exactly, but the next Mass Effect game is being developed up in Montreal. Bioware has been teasing bits and pieces of the next game in the series, but no concrete details have been made available as of yet.

A lot of the information is coming out of Twitter from the game’s development team, who are only issuing vauge praise at how work on the game is coming along. The most recent of these blurbs comes from Casey Hudson, who claims he just saw gave Mass Effect a milestone review and says the game is outstanding.

“In a milestone review for next Mass Effect game. Team is doing outstanding work. Looks beautiful, fun, ambitious, and Mass Effect-y,” said the developer via Twitter.

So just when will the first details arrive regarding Mass Effect 4? It’s hard to tell when Bioware will be ready to share, but they’re hardly being shy when interacting with fans via social media. Next up on their plate is like Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is due in 2014.

It might be a long shot for the next Mass Effect game to arrive in the same year as the next installment of Dragon Age, and that could push Mass Effect 4 into 2015. It would make a lot of sense for the developers to wait, given the popularity of the game, and the bigger installed base of consoles that is likely to exist after two years on the market for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
