The next Medal of Honor game will arrive this October, with the name “Warfighter” attached to it.  This is according to the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, which reports that the game will be the sequel to the 2010 Danger Close release of their Medal of Honor franchise reboot.  Again, Medal of Honor: Warfighter will follow the accounts of Tier 1 Operators set in the familiar locale.

One point of note however, Danger Close appears to be handling the multiplayer for MOH:Warfighter this time around, and not DICE.  But it will use DICE’s Frostbite 2.0 Engine to power the game, the engine that brought us Battlefield 3.

The Official Xbox Magazine claims that EA will reveal more about the upcoming shooter at GDC next month.  This Medal of Honor sequel comes as no surprise, as EA has made it known that they will continue the Medal of Honor franchise after the moderate success that the 2010 release had.
