Mortal Kombat has been in the news a lot lately. More specifically, Mortal Kombat X, has seen a rash of reports suggesting that an announcement is inbound.
Though adding even more credence to the reports are a new listing on Amazon for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 versions of Mortal Kombat X.
There’s no placeholder image, no release date, and no details about the game at this point. But it does have a 2015 release date attached to the game.
Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has been dropping subtle tweets over the last few weeks, and it looks we’ll be hearing about Mortal Kombat X very soon. Just a few days ago, Boon alluded to an announcement of a new game on June 2nd.
“I don’t suppose there’s anything I can do to make you think we still MIGHT be announcing Injustice 2 in five days is there…?”
Mortal Kombat fans have been waiting patiently for a new game from NetherRealm since the well received release of Mortal Kombat 9 in 2011.
