Naughty Dog Rewarding Players Who Get The Platinum Trophy In Uncharted 4

by Mike Guarino

While the debate regarding whether or not achievements/trophies in video games are actually worth getting is a debate that will go on until the end of time, they remain something of an obsession for some gamers. While all that some get for putting in the hours to unlock every single achievement/trophy is bragging rights, Naughty Dog is taking things a step further to show their appreciation to your commitment to the game.

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End may be an awesome game, but its trophy list is not an easy thing to get through. Not only do you have to do things like beat the game on the insane Crushing difficulty, but you also have to manage to complete the entire campaign in under 6 hours to get the Platinum trophy. For those who did manage to do these things, however, got a nice little email in their inboxes recently.

While the above picture/message may not be all that special considering the pain that many had to go through to get it, it’s nevertheless a nice gesture on Naughty Dog’s part.

It was recently revealed that Uncharted 4 had sold over 2.7 million copies in its first week on the market, with SCEA saying the following about its great sales so far:

“Millions of fans around the world have already joined Nathan Drake on his final treasure hunt. In the first week alone, I’m happy to report that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End exceeded 2.7 million units in global sales*. For the North American region, Uncharted 4 is the fastest-selling PS4 first party title to-date.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
