IGN has uploaded a cool new video looking at extended gameplay footage of LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. It’s a chapter that fans will remember from the movie.

The associate producer for TT Games, Tim Wileman, takes you through over 10 minutes of actual gameplay footage from LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens.

The chapter includes the characters of Finn, Rey, Han Solo and Chewbacca as they hunt the Rathtars that boarded the Millennium Falcon. BB-8 is also in tow to provide assistance to our heroes.

At the start of the video, things look simple as Han Solo and Chewbacca are blasting many Guavian soldiers. The Guavian soldiers didn’t do much in the movie, but they get more time on the screen here in the game.

Much like in many other LEGO video games, you can swap between the characters any time you wish. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses so you are forced to rotate between all of them in order to succeed in the missions.

The cool new thing you can see in the video is the added cover system. It plays like other third person shooters but this is the first time a LEGO game has adopted this mechanic. You can watch the gameplay video below.
