New Tekken 7 Gameplay Screenshots Show Shaheen In Action

by Damian Seeto

Famitsu has now uploaded some brand new screenshots of Shaheen kicking butt in Tekken 7.

Tekken 7 will be available for Japanese gamers to play on February 18th. The new screenshots uploaded by Famitsu takes a look at Shaheen, who is one of the new characters for the game. He is the first Middle Eastern character to be featured in the Tekken series.

Shaheen was first shown as concept art by Bandai Namco last year shortly after Tekken 7 was first announced. The developer asked its fans if Shaheen would be a good fit for the game. They really wanted feedback from Middle Eastern fans to see if his design was appropriate and not too stereotypical.

Many months later, Shaheen was officially confirmed to be joining the Tekken 7 roster. He is one of the four new characters that will be appearing in the arcade version of the game. The console version of the game is expected to have more characters in it. Bandai Namco doesn’t want to share much details on the console version of the game yet.

It’s great to see that Famitsu has shared some direct screenshots from Tekken 7. The graphics look great thanks to Unreal Engine 4. The game’s arcade machines are expected to arrive in other countries later this year.
