The superhero clash of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to debut in theaters this weekend, though it will be accompanied by an ad for a video game featuring a certain treasure hunter. The treasure hunter in question is Nathan Drake, who will appear in a 30 second ad for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End that you can check out at the bottom of this post.
The trailer is completely CGI, but it does a great job of capturing the tone of the game and the series’ action. It cuts through several different scenes as Drake ponders whether or not the life he has chosen was worth it, before tossing a coin into a huge pile of them as he sits exhausted in a burning building.
This isn’t the first time that Uncharted 4 got time to shine in theaters, as the last ad played before Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December. That ad was particularly awesome, with a slowly advancing scene of complete chaos unfolding to the tune of an orchestral version of The Pixies’ “Where is My Mind?”
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is developed by Naughty Dog and will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on May 10th. Check out the Heads or Tails CGI trailer for the game below.
