Nightwolf Revealed as the Next Fighter for Mortal Kombat 11

The roster for Mortal Kombat 11 continues to expand as NetherRealm Studios has revealed the next DLC fighter, and it’s none other than Nightwolf. The spiritual warrior looks to be in tip top shape, and he’s brought his signature tomahawk along for extra intimidation.

Just like the other Kombatants, Nightwolf retains most of his well known abilities from the older games in the series. This includes the Shoulder Charge, Projectile Reflector, Spirit Arrow, and the Tomahawk Throw. In addition, he can also summon his spirit animals to attack his opponent which consist of a bear, hawk, and a wolf, go figure. He also gains a unique machete that is embedded with spiritual powers. His Fatal Blow is the stuff of nightmares, firing three spirit arrows into his opponents chest then plunging his tomahawk right their head. He then summons lightning to charge into the tomahawk for good measure.

However, just like every single fighter in this game, his Fatality steals the show. Nightwolf straight up swings the tomahawk into his opponents jugular, severing the lower jaw from their face. He then proceeds to pull on the dismembered jaw, and pulls their entire chest off in the process! Nightwolf finishes them off with a two-handed tomahawk throw that cuts the heart in half. What a way to go. With moves like that, Nightwolf shows why he is a revered, and feared, fighter in Mortal Kombat.

Nightwolf will be available on August 13 for those who purchased the Kombat Pack which also includes Shang Tsung, along with future fighters Sindel and Spawn. He’ll be available for everyone else on August 20. Mortal Kombat 11 is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
