Nintendo Kicks Off the New Year with Indie Highlights Presentation

In lieu of a January Nintendo Direct, Nintendo UK held an Indie Highlights presentation today (January 23), showcasing various indie games coming to the Switch sometime this year. The full video is about sixteen minutes long, but in case you just want the main points, here’s a list of what was announced (those who do want to watch the full video can find it at the bottom of this article):

  • Turn-based strategy game Wargroove is coming to the Switch on February 1 and is currently available for pre-purchase.
  • Heavy metal rhythm shooter Double Kick Heroes will release first on the Switch this summer.
  • Physics-based construction puzzle game When Ski Lifts Go Wrong is out today.
  • Open world crafting/exploration game Forager is “coming soon” to the Switch.
  • Goat Simulator: The GOATY, which includes the base game and all previously released DLC packs, is available now.
  • Puzzle-platformer Inmost releases first on the Switch sometime this year.
  • 2D action-adventure Unruly Heroes is out now.
  • Action-RPG CrossCode is coming to the Switch sometime in 2019 and will contain new content exclusive to Nintendo’s console.
  • Card-based RPG SteamWorld Quest is coming to the Switch first sometime this year.
