One of the things now confirmed is that the PS4 has now officially shipped 13.5 million units worldwide. This is ahead of the near 10 million Xbox One units that Microsoft has shipped so far.
Another amazing statistic is that 1 billion hours have been spent playing the PS4 online. While the “Share” button has been pressed over 530 million times by PlayStation gamers. These gamers love to share their best moments with their mates online. It’s a neat feature especially if you do something cool, or see a funny glitch.
In the USA, PS4 hardware sales has generated more revenue than any other platform in its first year. While talking about the PSN, there are 56 million unique users. 7.9 million of those users have subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
Lastly, it was revealed that September 2014 was the biggest ever for the PlayStation Store. This was mainly because many people ordered a digital copy of Destiny as well as Minecraft too.
