Sony is looking to revamp Playstation Home this fall. The new focus for the online hangout on the PlayStation 3 is said be on social gaming.

According to recent reports, Sony will replace The Central Plaza with an area called “The Hub”. The Hub will feature social games where players can interact, participate in community events, and interact with user created content. Jack Buser of PlayStation claims that ‘ The goal of the revamp is too have a huge game staring you in the face as soon as you walk in the door.’

The new Home will feature multiple areas, all themed around different aspects. Recent previews of the new content recently graced the pages of Kotaku, and you can find their full preview here. PlayStation Home has been wildly successful since it’s launch, seeing tens of millions of users logging in to the free addition to the PlayStation Network. With these new features, it looks like Sony is finally shaping Home into the concept of what was revealed some years ago.
