PlayStation Store Introduces Rather Disappointing Inaugural PS Plus Specials Week

by Dean James

The PlayStation Store typically has a number of weekly sales, sometimes offering even better deals for PS Plus members. That is why this week’s inaugural PS Plus Special Week, as they are calling it, is so very strange.

Most weeks provide all PlayStation platform owners with some game sales, but this week is exclusively limited to PS Plus members, with the sales not even being all that great. Games like Bloodborne and The Order: 1886 are both discounted on here to $47.99, but in comparison you could get a retail copy of either one of those at Best Buy for only $39.99 this week, plus even cheaper prices for Gamer’s Club Unlocked members.

One of the few solid deals of this week is Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk, which is available exclusively as a digital game on PSN, so getting it for $12 off the retail price is a good deal.
